Zaynab Institute is an all-women online institute dedicated to Islamic learning and spirituality for English-speaking women around the world. We are a nonprofit, nonpartisan, and nonpolitical organization and our classes are free of charge.

Zaynab Institute was founded by Ustadha Sobia Ahmed as a new initiative of Zaynab Academy Online. We have been providing online Islamic education to women for over 10 years through an accessible and flexible approach. Courses include Classical Islamic Learning diploma programs, Quran certification programs, short courses, seminars, and motivational talks. To date, our courses have been attended by thousands of women from over 20 countries.

These courses are designed to meet the intellectual and spiritual needs of women wanting to connect to the Creator in an ever-changing world.  We highlight academic understanding with modern educational methodology as well as inner reform with holistic development. Courses are based on the Quran and Sunnah and embrace the rich intellectual tradition of Islamic civilization with respect for all scholars of the Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah.

Our mission is to provide an accessible platform for Muslim women from various backgrounds to develop intellectually, grow spiritually, and progress emotionally through Islamic teachings to improve themselves in a holistic manner. Our aim is to inspire, equip, and empower Muslim women towards self-actualisation to become a positive force in the world around them.
